Stable and Effective Development of the Russian Federations Domestic Trade

November 20, 2007 — Interuniversity Theory and Practice Conference «Stable and Effective Development of the Russian Federation’s Domestic Trade».

The plenary session was headed by the following presidium: Rector of IGUMO, PhD (law), Assistant Professor M. V. Volynkina, Vice-rector for Research, honoured man of RF science, Doctor of Law, Professor Yu.M. Antonyan, Dean of Economics and Management Faculty, Chairman of Economics, Administration and Marketing Department, Doctor of Economics, Professor, honoured man of higher school, member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences K. A. Raitsky, Chairman of Management Department, PhD (economics), Professor B. Z. Zeldovich.

Rector of IGUMO M.V. Volynkina greeted the guests and stated that the scholars of Russian Trade and Economics University, Russian University of Co-operation, Russian Economics Academy n.a. G.V. Plekhanov, Moscow State Institute of Press, All-Russias Tax Academy and other universities, specialists of various trade organisations took part in the conference, including the organisations where students of IGUMO have their practice.

In his opening speech Vice-rector of IGUMO for Research, Doctor of Law, Professor Yu.M. Antonyan emphasized the questions of penal control of violations in the sphere of trade. Analysing these aspects in historical dynamics of the recent 15 years the speaker stated positive changes which took place in the legislative base regulating the sphere of trade in Russia. At the same time Yu.M. Antonyan said that some measures to improve the legislative base in this field are being taken in the present time.

The report of Chairman of Management Department, PhD (economics), Professor B. Z. Zeldovich – Information in Management generated much interest. The scholar defined management information very precisely, showed its importance for increase in managers efficiency, gave numerous examples of rumour and disinformation control and of rational usage of information in the activity of managers as well.

Dean of Business and IT Faculty, PhD (economics), V.I. Soloviev presented in his report the main results of statistics in the development of retail trade in Russia for the recent 10 years. According to the speakers words, this analysis shows a high potential of the development of this branch, but its turnover is now 6 times lower than that in Europe, thus 2 times increase of retail turnover is predicted to take place in the following 5 years.

The report of President of Russian Diabetes Association, Psychoendocrinologist M. V. Bogomolov dedicated to the global market strategy in production and sale of dietetic and diabetic foodstuff aroused much interest.

Doctor of Economics, Professor I. V. Zakharov revised problems of usage of effectiveness indices of managing subjects activity.

He covered the problems of controllability maintenance and simultaneous increase of effectiveness of business under conditions of trade structures development.

The report of PhD (economics), Assistant Professor, Deputy Chairman of Board of Cooperate Trade Department of Moscow Consumer Cooperation Union D. V. Andreev stirred up much interest among the audience. In his report the speaker analysed and criticised general problems of legal control of small and medium business, then he brought forward suggestions for increase of the effectiveness of small and medium business development in the sphere of trade.

Doctor of Economics, Professor, honoured man of higher school, member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences K. A. Raitsky presented his report New Approaches in Maintenance of High Steady Growth Rates of Trade Structures. His report was dedicated to the analysis of reasons for price growth in Russia in September and October 2007, specific suggestions for prevention of such processes in the sphere of trade, and grounds for new approaches of analysis of break-even condition in trade ventures.

After a short break the work was continued within the frame of round-table discussions organised at four faculties of IGUMO.

Round-table Discussion

Mechanisms of Trade Management Improvement

Within the frame of the interuniversity theory and practice conference Economics and Management Faculty of IGUMO held two round-table discussions; the first one was called Mechanisms of Trade Management Improvement. The work was headed by Dean of Economics Faculty Professor K. A. Raitsky, Doctor of Economics, Professor I. V. Zakharov, Deputy Chairman of Board of Cooperate Trade Department of Moscow Consumer Cooperation Union, Assistant Professor D. V. Andreev.

The following reports were presented for discussion:

Tendencies of Consumers Behaviour as a Factor of Administration Mechanism Improvement by L.V. Vanshina, Deputy Dean of Economics and Management Faculty of IGUMO;

Development of Small and Medium Business in the RF by Daria Popova, 3rd-year student;

Consumer Goods Trade in Moscow Region: Problems and Ways of Improvement by Evgenia Shemyakina, 4th-year student;

Problems and Prospects of Catering in Moscow by Yulia Bikmulina, 4th-year student;

Programmes of Loyalty by Elena Semko, 3rd-year student;

Problems of Small Business Crediting by Oksana Alekseeva, 5th-year student;

Role of Complex Analysis of Financial Condition in the Work of a Finance Manager by Anastasia Perevyazkina, 5th-year student;

Problems of Decrease of Effectiveness of Budget Usage for Management Tasks Solution by Yu.B. Fedotkin, RGTUE post-graduate student;

The speakers stated their views on the problems of trade development, answered the questions of students and professors. Vasilina Evlampieva, Daria Popova, and Evgenia Shemyakina and others took part in the discussion.

Problems of Economics Management

The reports presented at another round-table discussion dedicated to the problems of economic management took a different line.

The main emphasis was made on the development of market economy in Russia, which was reflected in the following reports:

Analysis of Investments in the Sphere of Trade by Arseny Ogar, 5th-year student;

Formation of Market Economy in Russia by Alexandra Krupnik, 2th-year student;

Business Telephone Communication by Evgeny Frygin, 3rd-year student;

Business Correspondence by Alexander Mityaev, 3rd-year student;

Consulting as Venture Efficiency Security by Olga Lukina, 5th-year student;

Business Dispute Culture by Polina Perminova, 3rd-year student;

Business Dispute Psychology by Roman Moiseev, 3rd year student;

Ability to Listen by Stanislav Ilyashevsky, 3rd-year student;

Interview by Sergey Selivanov, 3rd-year student.

The reports of the round-table discussion participants contained very interesting information, but among the students reports those of Valeria Borodina and Anastasia Perevyazkina evoked the keenest interest. Students Maria Bogdanova, Taiana Derbasova, Anna Manukhina, Albina Starbekova, Yulia Savrasova took part in the discussion.

Expansion of Innovations and Innovations in Trade

Business and IT Faculty of IGUMO chose Expansion of Innovations and Innovations in Trade as the subject of their round-table discussion in which 2nd-year students took part. The students were guided by the Dean of Business and IT Faculty, Chairman of Mathematics and Natural Science Department, PhD (economics), Assistant Professor V. I. Soloviev and Chairman of Theoretical Information Science and Information Technologies Department, PhD (technical sciences), Assistant Professor B. I. Skorodumov.

The discussion was opened with a presentation Notebook to Every Child by student Viktor Maximov who introduced a project of cheep notebooks development.

In the report Rosgosstrakh and the Post of Russia by Ksenia Lobakhina innovative strategy of Rosgosstrakh insurance products spread via branches of the Post of Russia was dwelled upon and the effect of interaction between these two organisations was analysed.

Chairman of Theoretical Information Science and Information Technologies Department, PhD (technical sciences), Assistant Professor B. I. Skorodumov held a very interesting presentation Effectiveness of Information Technologies. He analysed information technologies taking into consideration the opinions of M. Castells, P. Drucker and others.

Student Anastasia Levshunova in her report Bank ‘Russky Standart: Way to the Leadership in Retail Crediting spoke about management solution of Bank Russky Standart which let it take leadership in banking retail services in five years, since 2000.

The round-table discussion was continued with a presentation IBM: Future Is with Innovations by student Svetlana Prokhorova who spoke about the five technological innovations which, according to the results of research held by IBM corporation, will greatly change our life in the nearest future.

In the conclusion the participants took part in the discussion Software Spread: Licensing or an Open Code? initiated by the Dean of the Faculty V. I. Soloviev. The students dwelled upon the prospects of an open code spread, compared it with progress gained by video and audio output producers in their piracy-fight.

Psychological Aspects of Economics and Management Activity

Round-table discussion Psychological Aspects of Economics and Management Activity was conducted at the Psychology Faculty of IGUMO and was headed by the Dean of Psychology Department, PhD (psychology), Assistant Professor E. N. Yurasova.

Within the frame of the discussion the following reports were presented:

Training as an Instrument of Corporative Effectiveness Management by L.M. Cheglakova, PhD (sociology), Assistant Professor of Sociology and Politics Department of Samara State University;

Adaptation of Specialists to Professional Activity. Prof-screen System“ in Profession Consulting by O.V. Khludova, PhD (psychology), Chairman of Practical Psychology Department of Moscow State University for Technologies and Management;

Psychoanalytical Approach to Understanding of Organisation Structure by E.N. Yurasova, PhD (psychology), Assistant Professor, Dean of Psychology Faculty of IGUMO;

Akmeological Surroundings of a Professionals Development by I.O. Soloviev, PhD (psychology), Assistant Professor of Social Psychology Department of IGUMO;
Influence of Different Factors on Professional Motivation and Professional Development by A.N. Glushko, Doctor of Psychology, Chairman of Clinical Psychology Department of IGUMO.

The subjects of the reports were even more topical in the context of development tendencies of industry and trade in Russia. The problems of venture management and increasing of staff efficiency become urgent because of high importance of the human factor in modern economics.

In the presented reports theoretical as well as practical aspects of these problems were considered. Therefore a lively debate among specialists and undergraduates of the Psychology Faculty took place.

Legal Aspects of Trade Control

Law Faculty conducted a discussion Legal Aspects of Trade Control in which 3rd and 4th-year students took part. The discussion was headed by the Dean of Law Faculty, Doctor of Law M. D. Davitadze and Chairman of Entrepreneurial Law Department, Assistant Professor A. V. Pavlov.

The following reports were presented:

Investments, the Definition of Investments, Classification of Investments by Petr Kovyrshin, 4th-year student;

State Control of Foreign Investments by Yulia Ryzhkova, 4th-year student;

Legal Aspects of Application of Funds in Individual Trade by A.V. Pavlov, Department Chairman;

Joint-stock and Mutual Investment Funds by Andrey Zotkin, 4th-year student;

Finance Lease Contract by Andrey Moysa, 4th-year student.

At the end of the discussion A.V. Pavlov summarized the ideas of the discussion and pointed out that the talks touched upon the problems in the field of trade which require legal control. All the reports evoked much interest among the audience.
