WE PRESENT OUR WORKSHOPS
On September 13, we hosted a meeting with Sergey Karpov, a specialist in management and an associated CIPD member.
Every workshop of ours provides useful knowledge for students to use in practice. That is why they don’t miss any opportunity to meet the speakers.
Sergey Karpov told the students about the main modern conceptions of career development. That theme turned to be very relatable for students from all our faculties.
Sooner or later everyone thinks about employment. What is career success? What kinds of success can be made? How to choose a future career? In order to answer these questions, our speaker suggested the students to use techniques of diagnostics of career values.
Every participant of the meeting was able to value one’s career preferences with help of a ‘Career Anchors’ test.
Many of our students start their career while studying. That is why it was important for them to learn the secrets of editing a job resume and passing job interviews successfully.
We asked our students from the Faculty of Photography to share their opinions about the meeting.
Alexander Terskiy, third-year student, the Faculty of Photography:
‘The workshop was entertaining and informative. Sergey spoke about complicated things but he made them understandable. I’ll probably use his advice in my future job interviews.’
Vitaly Belan, third-year student, the Faculty of Photography:
‘I haven’t heard about Sergey Karpov before but I really enjoyed his workshop. He asked about our future careers and held an interesting quiz. I’ll make sure to use this information in future.’
Yulia Rayevskaya, fourth-year student, the Faculty of Journalism
