ïîäïèñàòüñÿDistance learning in college differs a lot from online system at school. All lessons, events, and workshops go online and don't get canceled. We have recordings of all lectures and evens, so students could rewatch them any time if they missed a live stream for some reason.
It is worth emphasizing that MKIK has gone to partly online learning since November 1 when the number of COVID-19 cases broke the records. Students can only attend classes within practical trainings which require a real contact of students and a lecturer.
Partly distance learning is the best possible solution because it lets avoid a full quarantine and minimize the journeys by public transport and contacts with other people.
MKIK is going to work in the new regime till December. According to the projections, the number of infected Muscovites will decrease and journeys to the college will be safer by that time. Meanwhile, students and lecturers keep on working in the virtual environment of MKIK.
Students of MKIK shared their opinions about partly distance learning in the comments.
Ekaterina Lee:
“I like distance learning in MKIK. All the lessons are comfortable. Of course, it’s a lot better to see your groupmates and lecturers in a real life but new format is a care about students’ and lecturers’ health, so we just need to wait a little bit”.
Maria Lobova:
“I like distance learning in our college because a really comfortable environment was made for us. The solution to implement distance learning was right. It was done for our own good to protect our health and reduce the risks of infection. I don’t have any difficulties in studying and feel really comfortable. And yes, my expectations didn’t coincide the reality. Everything turned out to be better than I expected”.
Varvara Yakunina:
“It's great to study remotely especially in our college. You don’t need to waste a lot of energy to get to MKIK, you don’t need to wake up early. I like distance learning although live learning is also cool”.
Virtual environment of the college doesn’t concede the real one. We just lack personal communication. However, students’ and lecturers’ health is always a priority. Besides, we will come back to MKIK really soon.
