Educational methods used in college include exhibitions, installations, workshops, displays, and other ways of creative communication. They form students skills of creation and and public presentation of their original works.

Annual participation in the educational programme of the Days of Contemporary Art (DOCA) festival helps students get self-presentation skills and organisation and communication abilities in the professional field. College education combines modern teaching models and serious theoretical training in art history and design history.

Projects

Practical Training at the Design College

Students of the Design College undergo practical training in leading cultural institutions such as the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the State Historical Architectural Museum, and the Tsaritsyno Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve.

During the practical training in the museums, students of the Design College take part in organising exhibitions and acquire skills in decorating museum expositions. Communication with visitors and museum staff seriously affects the personal and professional development of future specialists.

Pedagogical practical training develops the ability to plan and test pedagogical knowledge.

The Design College of the International College for Arts and Communication (MKIK) graduates versatile specialists who are in demand both in professional activity and in educational institutions.

The Design College provides places of practical training for each student. By the final year of practical training , all students have a creative portfolio with a case, created for a real customer as part of their thesis. It allows graduates to find employment successfully.

Most of the interiors of MKIK are designed by the students of the Design College. Participation in projects during the learning process allows students to establish professional connections with one other and collaborate after graduation.
