ïîäïèñàòüñÿThe Journalism and Publishing College of MKIK held a BookFest. At the book exhibition, students presented photobooks and calendars that they elaborated last term.
The projects are dedicated to the topics that truly concern students: from procrastination to accepting yourself and your body. It is essential for students not just to make a qualitative work for their portfolios but also get a fair assessment of their creativity from real readers.
Aleksandra Salygina: “I’m happy that a new tradition was born at MKIK: to hold BookFests every term. It’s an amazing opportunity to show your works to a great number of people and get real feedbacks. I’m going to present my degree work on the next BookFest”.
Elena Lisenkova: “I developed counterproductive calendar where the main character Pear wants to do something beneficial but she can’t begin. There are no weekdays marked in the calendar because every day is a weekend for Pear. Everyone who viewed the calendar managed to recognisethemselves in my character”.
Maria Schmidt: “It was nice to get a constructive criticism and see my groupmates’ works. Being able to hold your own project is an incredible feeling. Then you understand that all the efforts are justified”.
Freshmen who are just getting to know the chosen profession and learning to work at the desktop publishing also highly estimated the BookFest that helped them find ideas for the future projects.
