DESCRIPTION 

The Read project was created for enlarging the interest of the students of the Journalism and Publishing College inreading, analyzing the materials they read for development of professional skills of working with presentation of different books, and bringing the attention of the reader to them.

As part of the project, the students create unique paper and electronic cards using their skills of working with colour, images, and fronts for attracting the attention of the possible audience to the chosen books.

The authors of the cards learn to defend their works publicly. The defense consists of the presentation of the chosen book and the work done. 

GOAL

Development of the creative skills of the students.

Development of the book analysis skills.

Popularisation of reading among young people.

Fixation and development of professional skills in the fields of composition, typography, colour science.

Acquisition of the skills of presentation of your own works. 

INTERACTION FORMATS

The analysis of the book text, the usage of the knowledge of composition and colour science, book design, and the reader psychology in real life; development of the font decision in accidental and advertisement products; presentation of a book and the defense of a project. 

RESULTS

Creation of a portfolio.

Acquisition of the knowledge of working with diverse materials, solution ofprofessional problems.

Development of the skills of working in graphic editors and desktop publishing systems.
