TRAINING PROGRAMME
The training programmes of the Institute of Design are designed in line with the trends of the design industry and employers' demands and are focused on instilling practical skills in students.
‘GRAPHIC DESIGN’
Students learn the skills required for creation of design projects: logos, illustrations, multi-page publications, corporate identities, websites, and mobile applications. They learn to work in graphic editors. Students create identities (brand design) for products, works, and services.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES: Fundamentals of Computer Graphics, Project Development in Graphic Design, Computer Technologies in Graphic Design, Font, Materials Science, Calligraphy, Typography, Propaedeutics, Colour
Science and Colour Theory.
Students acquire skills in creating analogue, digital, and 3D illustration. They learn to develop brand characters (mascots) and concept arts, draw using graphic tablets, and produce original and commercial illustrations.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES: Digital Illustration, Graphic Techniques, Sketching, Drawing.
Students acquire skills in creating frame-by-frame, shape, and 3D animation. They learn to create scripts and develop their original characters. Students enrich their skills in the production and editing of feature and commercial animations.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES: Animation, Computer Technologies in Graphic Design.
Students master UX/UI design skills to develop websites and mobile apps. They learn to design digital products and create a user-friendly and functional user interface.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES: Fundamentals of Computer Graphics, Project Development in Graphic Design, Computer Technologies in Graphic Design.
Students learn to work with 3D and 2D fonts and graphic elements. They create commercial banners and adapt them to different formats. Students master modelling and motion graphics.

Students acquire skills of shooting and post-processing of photo and video materials and learn to use graphics, texts, and sound in multimedia projects. They create original visual content (photo, video, and animation).

‘ART AND CULTURE’
Students of the Institute of Design develop their original style and master professional terminology. The practical part of the module includes classes in drawing, painting, and sculpture.

'COMMUNICATION AND EMOTIONAL INTELLECT'
All students of the Institute of Design study communication psychology, learn to establish business communication, and master skills of burnout prevention, as creative industry professionals often face it.
PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES: Business Communication, Foreign Language, Business Foreign Language, Consumer Psychology, Emotional Intelligence, Resource Technologies in Creativity, Public Speaking.
PRACTICAL TRAINING
Students of the Institute of Design gain professional experience and form commercial portfolios. They learn to work on their own and in a team. Within the framework of the Design Bureau of IGUMO, students carry out projects for real customers. Representatives of the professional community supervise their works.

IGUMO is a partner of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre. Under the guidance of mentors, students take part in creating video, photo, and design content for the website of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre and its official pages in social networks. They prepare videos, make sketches, and interview viewers
Days of Contemporary Art (DOCA) International Festival
DOCA is an independent enlightenment project featuring an exhibition together with music and educational programmes. Students exhibit on the festival site on an equal footing with renowned art figures
