On the 22th of March IGUMO hosted the meeting of the organizers of the DOCA’16 with the students of the Faculties of Design and Photo to screen all the projects for the oncoming festival.
According to the IGUMO educational program, DOCA is a practice-oriented project, it develops students’ professional skills, letting them work with real output.
Students of the Faculties should get plenty of hands-on experience while studying. Such projects as DOCA inspire students, helping them to form their own skills, vision and style. That’s another step to attaining real mastery.
Screening that took 7 hours left only warmest memories. The quality of projects has grown since last year’s event, so nearly each of the applicants indeed came to participate. This year we got lots of multimedia and research projects. The Students tried real co-creation with the audience (co-creation is this year’s event motto). Students of the Faculty of Internet Management had worked out a sophisticated mechanical object. Extramural students participate too. They suggested an interesting exterior design.
Though students have diverse experience, they have prepared excellent presentations, with sketches and previews. Students and their tutors made a good job. The projects are already being placed within the DOCA exposition.
Next week we’ll see the complete program of the DOCA.
This year indie-pop band On-The-GO makes the preview of the festival.
