It is very difficult to make the first move into your research. The research area is very extensive but if you are keen on discovering something new it won’t be a problem to overcome difficulties.
The participants of the workshop on literary language and the language of literature held in IGUMO 10 February 2016 managed to prove that. All those taking part in the discussion comprised school and college students, having made reports in English or German on the given topics.
The jury comprised Oksana Kurenya, the dean of the Linguistics faculty, Ilya Kurenya, the chairholder of English Philology, and Nadezhda Boguk, the chairholder of Education Science.
Yelizaveta Illarionova in her research tried to explain what literature is. Aleksandra Andreyeva observed literary language as an evolution stage of national language. Marina Borisova examined literary devices in different types of texts. Polina Belyayeva analyzed Mark Twain’s The Prince and the Pauper and covered a topic of the discussion on the ground of that book. Nadezhda Romaneskul defined the writer’s language. Viktoriya Kovalyova described the situation, explaining the usage of stylistic nuances.
And finally, Ilya Amirov made a description of the German language in its development.
All those taking part in the seminar answered the questions of the examiners as well. We are very grateful to the school research advisors who helped their students run their studies
