STUDENTS LEARNED HOW TO FIND DREAM JOB

The IGUMO hosted a unique workshop by Sergey Karpov, a top expert in management.

How to accomplish a goal? How to become successful and find a dream job? The speaker covered such questions at the workshop.

He told the students that there was nothing to be afraid of. The most important thing is to find a goal and do everything to accomplish it.

The students often have such questions as: how to combine working and studying? What can one write in a job resume?

Our speaker says that one should fill one’s portfolio and work during the studies. Of course, it’s difficult because there are not many companies that are ready to employ people without work record.

A right resume is the first step towards getting a dream job. There are many resume patterns on the Internet but not all of them are correct.

Firstly, one should choose a photo that can be added to an official document. Secondly, one should mention all his or her achievements. A right job resume attracts attention and arouses trust.

After that one can take the next step: having a job interview. There one should look nice and keep one’s speech correct.

Sergey Karpov marked that a person who applies for work should understand what he or she wants to gain from it (experience, money, career growth).

It’s very important to choose correct questions for a job interview. They should represent one’s wish to work. For example, ‘who is my director?’, ‘what are my working hours?’. One should also remember some basic rules even after being accepted for a job. Here are some of them:

1) to be responsible for one’s actions, realize oneself, suggest new ideas;

2) control one’s emotions, always treat customers nicely;

3) get good reputation;

4) value one’s actions, feel responsibility for work.

According to our speaker, without meeting these requirements one can’t build a successful career.

Sergey Karpov also spoke about the difference between a successful leader and a manager. The first one isn’t afraid of changes, he or she even contributes to them. One sees a long perspective and aims for it, uniting his or her employees in order to achieve it.

In the end of the workshop, the speaker suggested our students to pass an online-test about types of personality.

We want to express our thanks to Sergey Karpov for this useful event!
