The Faculty of Photography of IGUMO created a photo project presenting a string-bag as an alternative to plastic bags.
Vadim Gushchin, famous artist and photographer, carried out a photo shoot at the photo studio of IGUMO. Students of the Institute’s different faculties were his models. The series of photos shows options of using string-bags, which are harmless for the environment, unlike disposable bags.
The second part of the project supervised by photographer Andrey Akimov was shot in the street as part of the Advertising Photography discipline.
“We use them only for 20 minutes but it takes about 200 years for them to decompose. Trillions of used plastic bags have flooded our small planet. Our photo project call upon everyone to switch to using eco-friendly bags”, emphasizes Vadim Gushchin, curator of the Faculty of Photography of IGUMO and author of the project.
A string-bag is not only eco-friendly. It is a fashionable accessory, which is comfortable to use and fits in your pocket. The durability of such a bag is another pleasant bonus.
The project’s goal is to remind the society about the fact that everyone can contribute to the planet’s better future by making the right choice every day.
The photo shoot carried out as part of the eco-project by IGUMO reflects one of the main principles of conscious consumption: giving up non-ecological packages.
