This year the contemporary art festival DOCA started with a special preview, the concert of the new-wave band from Russia On-The-Go. DOCA also ends with an event, - the Poco Cox concert. Poco Cox performs a special solo program called Outcome.

We have interviewed Poko on his performance, and asked his colleague, Evgeniy Gorbunov (the musician playing with two bands: NRKTK and Stoned Boys), for a comment or two. 

 Evgeniy Gorbunov:

   “Poko Cox is a new wave man, making intelligent independent pop music. The strain of his music is the 80’s pop, its energy and style. One can feel the sense of old school as it was in his music. There are a lot of new ideas and creativity performed in his artworks, so his personal style and contribution into art can be easily seen. Poko Cox is the ground of contemporary underground.”

Poko Cox:

    “I have created a new set-up, and here it is, I do present it. It is the result of my work with the new instrument, so now I can perform solo, with no more musicians on the scene. Later on I will describe my working process and tell the stories of my songs. We will also talk on the importance of being supple in the sphere of art.”
