Third year students of the Photography College of the International College for Arts and Communication (MKIK) undergo practical training at Sport Media News company. The Internet portal covers events in the world of sports, fitness, martial arts, extreme sports,and travelling. 

Students got acquainted with the site editor Maksim Smirnov who supervises the trainees personally, sets out to the sites with them, andhelps in communication with the organisers and models.

 

During the first month, students of the Photography College tried themselves in different directions: they worked with archives, broadcasted from ultimate fightingmatches, filmed interiors, andcarried out two photoshoots for an advertising catalogue. 

The trainees got a unique experience of reportage shooting during sports fights. Students themselves felt what it is like to stand all day with a camera and ‘catch’ moments of a fight that will not be repeated. In addition, it was necessary to be very careful and move away from the ring in time, otherwise you can break the camera and get injured.

Students of the Photography College also learned how important it is to get ready for the site: not to forget the lunchbox, camera charger, and extra memory cards. 

Sometimes students had to work in unforeseen weather conditions, which is also invaluable experience. It is important to protect your camera, which may get wet in the rain, and to prepare some gear for yourself. 

Trainees gained good experience ofcommunicating with people. They learned how important it is to restrain the emotions, to be respectful and patient with those who come to the competition as spectators or as the main shooting object.

Olga Prokhorova: 

“On November 12, we went to the first shooting for the ‘AKB’ (‘Agency for Integrated Security’)company. Despite the frosty weather, we made a great footage.  We wanted to show the reliability of the company's employees, their teamwork and responsibility for other people's lives. Our team also worked harmoniously: we listened to one another’s opinions, helped and tried to maintain a good moodbecause this is one of the aspects of a successful photoshoot.

The second shooting took place in the Expocentre at the motorcycle exhibition. We filmed lectures, as well as demonstrations of stunts on motorcycles and ATVs. Then we had a few shootings at MMA tournaments. We managed to feel like real photographers. Now it's not so scary to start a career in this fieldthanks to the practical training and lecturers of the International College for Arts and Communication (MKIK).

За первый месяц студенты колледжа фотографии попробовали себя в разных направлениях: работали с архивами, вели репортажи с боев без правил, снимали интерьеры, осуществили две фотосессии для рекламного каталога.

Практикантами был получен уникальный опыт репортажной съемки во время спортивных поединков. Ребята на себе прочувствовали, каково стоять целый день с фотоаппаратом и «ловить» моменты боя, которые уже не повторятся. К тому же необходимо быть очень внимательными и вовремя отойти от ринга, иначе можно разбить камеру и получить травмы.

Студенты колледжа фотографии также убедились, насколько важно подготовиться к выходу на площадку: не забыть ланчбокс, позаботиться о зарядке для камеры и дополнительных картах памяти.

Иногда приходилось работать в непредвиденных погодных условиях, что тоже дает бесценный опыт. Важно защитить камеру, которая может промокнуть под дождем, а также подготовить экипировку для себя.

Хороший опыт получили практиканты в коммуникации с людьми. Они узнали, как важно сдерживать свои эмоции, быть уважительными и терпеливыми к тем, кто приходит на соревнования в качестве зрителей или является главным объектом съемки.

У ребят осталось много впечатлений от работы в Sport Media News, которыми они поделились в комментариях.

Ольга Прохорова:

«12 ноября мы выехали на первую съемку для компании “АКБ” (“Агентство комплексной безопасности”). Несмотря на морозную погоду, мы отсняли отличные кадры. Мы хотели показать надежность сотрудников компании, их слаженность в работе и ответственность за чужие жизни. Наша команда тоже работала слаженно: мы прислушивались к мнению друг друга, помогали и старались поддерживать хорошее настроение, ведь это один из аспектов удачной фотосессии.

Вторая съемка проходила в Экспоцентре на выставке мототехники. Мы снимали репортажи с лекций, а также демонстрацию трюков на мотоциклах и квадроциклах. Затем у нас было несколько съемок на турнирах ММА.

Нам удалось почувствовать себя в роли настоящих фотографов. Теперь не так страшно начинать карьеру в этой области. За это большое спасибо практике и преподавателям МКИК».

Иван Галкин:

«Мне понравилась эта практика, я узнал много нового, приобрел опыт съемок, чтобы стать более профессиональным фотографом».
