Students of the Psychology College of MKIK held a concert for veterans of the Izmaylovo District on Victory Day.

The college students danced a waltz, read poems about the war, sang songs with a guitar, and presented flowers to the guests of honor.

Each speech expresses a deep sense of gratitude, admiration for the valiant feat of the heroes, tribute to the fallen, and awareness of their responsibility for a bright future.

The participants of the concert are not professional artists but they passed the theme of the war through their hearts and their performance caused the strongest emotions in all those present.

It is important that the college students themselves felt the need to hold this concert for veterans after numerous meetings with them in the framework of the Empathy project.

Ariadna Cheltsova, veteran of the Great Patriotic War:

“I would like to thank you very much for your performances. What happened to the people in Leningrad and at the front is terrible. Cherish peace! Be friendly and give others the good that you have. The good will surely return to you".

Elenà Kochkarova, Chairperson of the Veterans Council:

"We are very happy that you have invited us to this wonderful meeting. You very subtly felt all the pain and bitterness of the war reflecting it in poetry, songs, and pantomime".

Marina Volynkina, Rector of the International College for Arts and Communication (MKIK):

"I cried looking at the college students who performed so sincerely, sang songs, and read poems from their pure hearts. In our time, the most important thing is to remain human and preserve those qualities of the soul that artificial intelligence does not have. Meetings of students with veterans within the framework of the Empathy project contribute to this".

Olga Rumyantseva, Dean of the Psychology College:

"I am proud of my students and express my gratitude for the concert. On the eve of the holiday, I would like to honor the fallen with a bright memory and pay tribute to those who gave us peace and the opportunity to live a happy life."

Cooperation with the Veterans Council continues. There are still many interesting projects ahead from the re-release of books about the great exploits of heroes to new meetings with highly respected veterans.
