Art Therapy

Description 

Students of the Psychology College master practical methods of art therapy and learn how to use it in order to induce people to art, self-knowledge, and deeper communication. Students along with mentors elaborate art therapeutic materials for people in difficult living situations to relievepsycho-emotional tension.  

Within the project, students of the Psychology College hold the Day Of Art Therapy every year. At the event, students-psychologists familiarize students from other faculties with contemporary branches of art therapy: isotherapy, fairy tale therapy, music therapy, photo therapy, and dance movement therapy.

Goal 

Development of important professional skills and personal qualities, acquisition of practical skills in art therapy, and teamwork on the project. 

Methods  

Art therapy methods, group discussions, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data. 

Results 

Mastery of methods of art therapy, an ability to make contact with a group of people.

Development of important professional qualities: analytical capacity, empathy, and reflection.

Development of creative abilities and skills of teamwork in creating a project.
