Tatiana Mordvinova's Theatre Photography Workshop

DESCRIPTION 

Within the framework of the ‘Tatiana Mordvinova's Theatre Photography Workshop’ project, the students take part in filming performances in cooperation with the professional photographers. The project partners are PR services of leading Moscow theatres, the ‘Theatre to go’ online magazine, and other media. 

The project is aimed at forming and developing the professional skill of photography in difficult light conditions and in reportage mode among the students of the Photography College of theInternational College for Arts and Communication (MKIK). Students learn the rules of frame composition by filming real-life theatrical performances.

GOAL 

Formation and development of photography skills (for example, theatrical photography skills), sustained interest and motivation for the future profession, as well as the ability to assess the quality of performing the professional tasks.

INTERACTION FORMATS 

Reportage and art photography, group work, collection and analysis of information, selection and editing of photographs, attendance of lectures, workshops, exhibitions, and participation in contests.

EXPECTED RESULTS 

Formation of photography skills using the example of theatrical photography, improvement of work with photographic images, development of business communication skills, team-based and individual project work. 

Publications of students in theatrical periodicals and on theatre websites, creation of students’ professional portfolio, acquisition of professional contacts in the culture sector.
