Description
The Days of Contemporary Art (DOCA) international festival is an independent educational project. Its goal is to popularise contemporary art. This is an open non-profit platform including exhibition, music, and educational programmes. The project gives students of artistic fields of study (artists, photographers, designers, and architects) an opportunity to get the experience of participating in exhibitions and gain their portfolios.
Every year, from September to March, the Design College hosts a series of DOCA-talk public lectures as part of the festival’s educational programme. The curators of students’ projects are members of professional art community who accompany the students’ works at all stages of their preparation.
The Design College students’ participation in the festival as volunteers-moderators allow them to acquire skills of organisation and hosting cultural events. It also teaches them to perceive, decode, and feel the contemporary art.

Goal
Bringing up students’ skills of development, creation, and public presentation of their projects, communication skills, and interest to the contemporary art.
Interaction Formats
Exhibitions, installations, performances, lectures, workshops, discussions, and othermeans of creative communication. Open workshops supervised by art community members.
Expected Results
Gaining experience of participation in exhibitions and development of self-presentation skills.
