The Linguistics College is a unique education institution where the students are trained for one of the most needed and vital occupations: an elementary school teacher. The defining characteristic of our college is in-depth one-aspect-at-a-time study of foreign languages. Traditions of the Faculty of Linguistics of IGUMO are used as a base for the linguistic education of the college students.  

The graduates of the Linguistics College have at least an Upper-Intermediate level of their first foreign language (English). Senior students also study a second foreign language.  

The college graduates can work as elementary school teachers, English teachers in elementary schools, homeroom teachers, supervisors and tutors in elementary schools, mentors,and curators of leisure activities of younger schoolchildren. Linguistic training received at the Linguistics College makes it possible for our students to make a career in international and bilingual schools, gymnasiums, or foreign educational institutions. 

In the process of education at the Linguistics College, the students master fundamental knowledge in pedagogy, psychology of communication, methodology of teaching classroom disciplines, the technologies of class management and supervision of educational institution. 

The Linguistics College regularly hosts meetings with representatives of the professional community. The speakers share their knowledge and professional tips with the students. The students visit workshops of translators and native speakers andparticipate in large-scale professional projects.
