DESCRIPTION 

‘Soviet Modernism. From: and To:’ is a permanent project dedicated to the Russian architecture of 1955–1985.  The project is structured as a research culminating in an exhibition. 

Students of the Design Collegestudying and rethinking the architectural era of the Soviet period create stamps, original zines, and posters. 

The permanent exhibition of the project includes more than 200 collectible objects of the Soviet graphic production of the mid-20^thcentury, including rare exhibits: original booklets of the World’sFairs in Brussels (1958) and Montreal (1967).  This section of the exhibition reveals the meaning of the architectural events of a bygone era.

GOAL 

Development of students' skills in the design, creation, and public presentation of original projects.  Development of interest in architecture and design of the Soviet period.

INTERACTION FORMATS 

Exhibitions, excursions, lectures, workshops, discussions, and other ways of creative communication.

EXPECTED RESULTS 

 Presentation of original works in the exhibition space.

 Acquisition of organisation and communication skills in the professional field.

 Gaining experience of self-presentation.
