Architecture, 07.02.01 

The Architecture College of MKIKwas established by famous Russian architects on the basis of the International College for Arts and Communication (MKIK). 

Educational process is based onmodern educational technologies, unique original techniques and courses. Project disciplines are taught by practicing architects. Invited speakers broaden the professional purview of the students. External experts participate in the viewing of students’ works. 

The programme of the Architecture College is aimed at current needs of society, the latest trends, and international experience in architectural education. 

The Architecture College collaborates with leading project organisations, educational clusters,and cultural institution. 

Unique disciplines: 

– Conceptual and competitive design; 
– Working design; 
– Modern constructions and technologies; 
– Modern architecture; 
– Modern urbanism; 
– Architectural sketching. 

Key subjects: 

– Architecture design; 
– Design of urban development facilities; 
– Landscape design; 
– Digital graphics and modeling; 
– Design of buildings and constructions; 
– AutoCAD; Photoshop; 3ds MAX. 

Throughout their studies at college, future architects masterover 30 professional disciplines and carry out following projects: 

– shelter for rare and endangered animal species with the development of brand design (naming and logotype); 
– canopy with the development of reference map and infographics; 
– cottage with the residential zoneinterior; 
– cottage village; 
– leisure centre with public area interior; 
– subdistrict; 
– mid-rise house with the interior of a two-room apartment (optionally); 
– layout of yard area (optionally); 
– kindergarten and nursery with playroom interior (optionally); 
– trade and office complex with interior of an office or shop premises (optionally); 
– town square amenity (optionally); 
– city park amenity (optionally). 

In the last year of study, during pre-graduation practical training, students of the Architecture College form a portfolio under the guidance of an academic advisor. That allows them to be ready for their own architectural practice or work at anarchitectural bureau. 

What we teach: 

– to design buildings, interiors, and urban development facilities; 
– to work out architect models and 3D renderings; 
– to create, present, and defend projects; 
– to participate in professional exhibitions and contests. 

Occupations of our graduates: 

– architect; 
– designer of architectural space; 
– 3D visualisation specialist.
